The XP Walker is the next generation of Aircast pneumatic walking brace, making it ideal for shin or ankle injuries such as a fractured ankle, fibula potts or tibia, a broken leg or shin or a dislocated ankle.
The Walker is designed with comfort and simplicity in mind. The leg is protected and immobilised like with a plaster cast by the hard plastic shell, but the lighter weight makes it more comfortable and convenient.
A secure fit is ensured by means of four inflatable AirCells, which also provide compression for the swollen shin or ankle, thus reducing swelling and speeding up recovery.
Unlike a plaster cast, the XP Walker can be taken off for bathing and rehab exercises, thus improving hygiene and helping to prevent ankle stiffness and muscle wastage. This speeds up the healing time. |
